On Saturday 6 June 2026, EAGA Choir travelled to Huntingdon to perform at AnExperience Festival. This annual festival is an independent, grassroots event held in the woods, organised by a group of friends who share a passion for music, dancing, and celebrating together.

As we arrived at the venue, it was immediately clear why it had been chosen. A vast field stretched before us, decorated with a sea of colourful tents and filled with happy, excited festival-goers. There were several vibrant spaces where people could dance, relax, and fully immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere.
We received a warm welcome as we collected our wristbands before being shown to our tent. After settling in, we headed to the stage for our sound check. Walking through the woodland, we were fascinated by the towering walls of hay bales surrounding the performance area. These had been carefully positioned to enhance the acoustics and support the festival's impressive sound system.
As soon as we began our sound check, a lively crowd gathered to listen. Our musicians were thrilled by the exceptional sound quality and couldn't wait to perform our full set. After the sound check, we returned to our tent to get changed and eagerly awaited the call to take the stage.
When the moment finally arrived, we were greeted by a huge crowd who were just as excited to hear us perform. From the very first song to the last, the audience remained fully engaged—singing, dancing, and jumping with infectious energy. Our set included favourites such as "Jesus Is Real," "Hallelujah," and the uplifting medley "Jesus Loves Me / Higher and Higher."
During our African song "Gijima," we invited volunteers from the audience to join us on stage. They didn't hesitate for a moment! Their enthusiasm and joyful dancing captivated everyone and spread an incredible sense of celebration throughout the crowd.
When it came time for our Praise Break, the atmosphere reached another level. The audience clapped, sang, and danced with us, experiencing a taste of the vibrant joy and celebration that characterises gospel worship.
As our set came to an end, the audience simply wasn't ready for us to leave. Cries of "One more song!" echoed across the field, and we happily returned to perform "Going Up Yonder." The crowd danced and clapped along with our choir director, creating a truly unforgettable finale.
As we left the stage, while our musicians continued to play, the audience gave us a heartfelt cheer in appreciation of the performance. It was a wonderful reminder of the power of music to bring people together.
It truly was AnExperience!
