On 20 December 2025, members of the EAGA Choir were invited to a Christmas lunch for the Veterans at the Royal British Legion by the former Mayor of Oadby and Wigston, Clare Kozlowski, who recently joined the choir along with her daughter, Harriet after the choir performed at her Mayor’s carol service concert the previous year.
The choir were honoured to perform a selection of Christmas carols during the interval of the veterans banquet. The event was beautifully organised, with long tables filled with guests, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner featuring turkey with all the trimmings. The wonderful staff served a delicious pudding, a sweet finish to an excellent meal. We later learned that all the dishes had been prepared entirely from scratch—a testament to the care put into the event.
As the choir began to sing, it was clear that the guests appreciated the performance. Their cheers and applause filled the room, making the moment truly special. EAGA Choir is grateful for the invitation and delighted to have made new friends at the Royal British Legion.
